Account deletion
Deleting your CareStori account.
You can delete your CareStori account at any time, from inside the app or by asking us to do it for you.
Delete it yourself, in the app
Sign in to CareStori, open Settings, and scroll to Delete my account under Account. You'll be asked to type the word DELETE to confirm. Nothing is deleted until you confirm, and the action cannot be undone.
Ask us to delete it
Email hello@foreverstori.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my CareStori account." We verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account and email address
- Every CareStori profile you created, including the person's name, photo, and care preferences
- What Matters, Daily Essentials, and Daily Care information
- Contacts you saved on a profile
- Care Moments photos and captions, and care notes on your profiles
- Caregiver invitations, circle members, access windows, and care schedule entries
- Caregiver share links, which stop working immediately
- Your notification preferences and activity history
What we keep, and for how long
Billing and tax records held by our payment provider, Stripe, are kept as long as US tax and accounting law requires. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription that is still billing — cancel first in Settings, or email us and we'll handle both.
Routine backups may hold copies for up to 30 days, after which they age out permanently.
If you were invited to someone else's CareStori
Deleting your account removes your membership from any care circle you were invited to. The care information itself belongs to the person who created that profile, so it stays with them.
